Hello, my name is Måns. I'm 20 years old and I'm one of the Swedish participants in Learning School this year. Above you can see some short facts about me.
I grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere with 3 km (about 2 miles) to the closest neighbour. It was a very good place to grow up at because you had a lot of freedom and you could be outside and do things you can't do in a city. However now I'm bored of it and ready to see the world a bit more.
I graduated the Technology Programme at Bobergsgymnasiet, Ånge in June 2011. I knew I wanted to do Learning School about 6 months before I graduated, so I planned it all way ahead. At the end of the last school year, my town were also hosts of the Global Classroom Conference and I had a big part in the organizing of the conference, both before and during it. In 2010 I went to my first Global Classroom Conference in Ridgewood, USA. It was a great experience and after that I was sold on the idea of Global Classroom and Learning School. After that conference I've been working really hard to make this possible. I'm happy that I made it.
I could say a lot of things about myself, but in general I think it's better if others get the chance to get a fresh and clean opinion of me without any labels or prejudices. However I can tell you that I'm quite interested in sports, I absolutely love Arsenal Football Club and I try to watch every game I can. I'm also quite into winter sports. Every winter me and my family go skiing/snowboarding (I can do both) in the mountains, I really enjoy it. I used to play ice-hockey as well, so I'm quite okay on the skates and if there is ever an opportunity to ice-skate when we are away on our trip I'd love to do it. Except from sports, I'm quite into technology things like computers, phones, networks and such. I have made quite a lot of websites and I work in photoshop sometimes. I'm active and I like to socialize and meet new people and I get easily bored if I don't. I'm sure Learning School will be great for this, since you have to interact with new people the whole time.
I'm sure that this trip around the world will change my life forever. I'm happy about that.
